THE GAME
Think you’ve got what it takes to run your own “dogs of war” operation? Prove it in Jagged Alliance Online, where you’re the boss of a mercenary corporation. Lead your experienced crew into battle, negotiate dangerous (and lucrative) contracts in the darkest, deadliest places on the planet, and become the best hired gun on the market – and online!
Sure, you might be a ruthless mercenary, wielding a gun you’ve nicknamed Death. But it won’t mean squat if strategy isn’t part of your game plan, because here, it’s not all about killing.
In Jagged Alliance Online, you’ll need to manage your base, gear up your mercs and deploy them in the midst of raging, action-packed, tactical turn-based combat – both against the computer and other players. Bear in mind too that your comrades aren’t cannon fodder: they can collect experience and specialize in various skills and abilities, making each merc an important pawn in a never-ending war. Will you make a name for yourself in a world of armed conflict? Or are you destined for an unmarked grave?

Gamigo (Browser) Version:
The complete PvE content can be unlocked by getting the campaign package for Gold, there are Premium Currency and microtransactions.
Kongregate (Browser) Version:
Creating a new account will give you your permanent mercenary which you can level up to Level 50 by playing PvP!
The complete PvE content can be unlocked by getting the campaign package.
There is no Premium Currency that needs to be purchased after you got the campaign. While you can still buy some extra Cash, it is not necessary to do so. You also earn Cash by competing against other players in PvP, by playing Warzones and by playing the missions.
Steam Version:
Since the 05.06.2013 Jagged Alliance Online has also been available on Steam!
PvP: Free to play up to level 50! You also have the first two Warzones and the first Prestige map available. PvP starts with level 7 (after completing contract - Hell hath no fury). You can join by clicking the big star with the skull on the worldmap.
Campaign: The campaign will unlock additional contracts with more than 80 missions for you to play. There is no hidden in-game Premium Currency, only Cash which you can earn in-game by playing missions, Warzones and PvP. While you can still buy some extra Cash, it's more to experiment with your skills and mercs, but it's not necessary to play through the Campaign in a good way.
There are 2 DLCs available on Steam: Ivan and Shadow
Both DLCs unlock the campaign (same contracts, same missions), some extra cash, and the merc slot for your new permanent mercenary. The only difference is the permanent mercenary you get.
With Ivan, you will get a strong and tough Elite-Gunner to fight by your side and protect you.
Shadow on the oder hand is a sneaky Elite-Commando who can remain unnoticed, but spots everything.
If you decide to dowload both DLCs, you will get the campaign, the extra cash from both packs, 2 merc slots wich will then be filled by Shadow and Ivan.
